Job Description - Documentation Acquisition Coordinator

Midland Mortgage, a division of MidFirst Bank, is one of the most successful home mortgage servicers in the county.  We focus on quality and creating winning teams to execute our mission to be the top performing financial institution in the markets we serve. 


The Documentation Department is responsible for the safe-keeping and accuracy of mortgage loan documents.  A Documentation Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for analyzing information, identifying potential risk, and documenting the findings for the Documentation Acquisition team.   


Primary responsibilities include:




  • Conducting an in-depth review of mortgage loan documents to identify potential risks / issues.

  • Review reports and/or information from 3rd parties to identify potential risks / issues.

  • Prepare accurate reports and supporting documentation that clearly identify results, risk ratings, and, Documentation Department due diligence recommendations.

  • Monitor on-boarding activity to ensure mortgage loans are properly transferred to MidFirst.

  • Prepare accurate reports and supporting documentation that clearly confirms that loans are properly transferred to MidFirst post transfer.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with third parties such as attorneys, title companies and other mortgage servicers.

  • Provide support to co-workers by researching issues and responding to inquiries with detailed explanations and comprehensive solutions.

  • Assist with projects and performing other relevant duties as required

Position Requirements:


This position requires up to 1 -3 years of relevant experience conducting quality reviews of complex documents. Preference given to those with previous title review, mortgage servicing, quality control, auditing, or real estate background.

  • Strong MS Word and Excel skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to confidently convey information, provide clear direction, and motivate other parties to resolve issues.

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

  • A bias for action and exercises good judgment

  • Excellent organization skills


 


**This position is on-site at our corporate campus in north Oklahoma City; therefore, you must reside in this area in order to be considered for this opening. **
