Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nJob Description\n\nResponsibilities for this internship position are:\n\nNorthrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman \u2013 Military Internship Program (DoD SKillbridge) utilizing the DoDI guidance for Skillbridge. During this program the service member will be on-site at his or her host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Outlined below are the Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes for the program.\n\nGoals \u2013 Provide transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment. This program is specifically designed to offer internships that result in the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training. Interns will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC.\n\nObjectives - Service Members who complete the Intern program will be highly-trained, capable, future employees that align to the specific needs of the organization and are prepared to meet the NG mission \u201cDefining Possible\u201d on Day 1. The selected candidate will perform the following key duties and responsibilities:\n\n\u2022 What You\u0027ll Get to Do: \nThis position is for an experienced Codes lab technician. The selected candidate will be expected to contribute to MMIII Ground Systems Support Contract (GSSC) Codes equipment maintenance and repair. The selected candidate will also support the Codes travel team performing shielding effectiveness verification testing of NSA certified TEMPEST enclosures at various USAF wing locations.\n\nResponsibilities May Include: \n\u2022 Review of Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility (EMI/EMC) test plans and test procedures (EMITP) to meet Data Item Descriptions (DID) requirements \n\u2022 Review Qualification \u0026 Pre-Qualification EMI Test Plans/Procedures (EMITP) \n\u2022 Support EMI/EMC test planning, Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and test integration support. \n\u2022 Perform \u0026/or witness EMI/EMC test execution per MIL-STD-461F/G, and support design mitigation for EUT compliance. \n\u2022 Inspection, maintenance and repair of Wing Code Processing Systems (WCPS) at government facilities. \n\u2022 Prepare detailed activity reports for WCPS and Shielded Enclosure (SE) related activities. \n\u2022 Contribute to the development of CDRL documents per DID requirements. \n\u2022 Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements. \n\u2022 Perform data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each Hardware (HW) build and component. \n\u2022 Interface with Electrical and Systems engineers in support of maintenance, repair and verification. \n\u2022 Support Shielding Effectiveness testing at remote site locations per IEEE-STD-299 \u0026 TEMPEST/1-95.\n\nBasic Qualifications - T02: \n\u2022 2+ years\u2019 experience with Bachelor\u2019s degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree. \n\u2022 Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years. \n\u2022 Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret Clearance. \n\u2022 1+ years\u2019 experience working project requirements to meet schedule timelines \n\u2022 Ability to respond to urgent request for field support (ability to travel on short notice) \n\u2022 4+ years\u2019 of experience MM III ICBM Codes system - including a basic familiarity of the broader Air Force Codes organization with codes hardware, software and interfacing systems \n\u2022 COMSEC, Cryptology and Nuclear Surety training \n\u2022 Must understand Air Force Technical Orders, 252\u2019s, 202\u2019s, Time Compliance Technical Orders and Security Classification/Declassification Guide \n\u2022 Ability to understand and work with technical data (e.g. drawings, Source Control Drawings, Fig A\u2019s, and other Weapon System documentation) \n\u2022 Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time \n\u2022 Must have a firm grasp of Microsoft Office suite programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat products\n\nBasic Qualifications - T03: \n\u2022 5+ years\u2019 experience with Bachelor\u2019s degree, 3+ years\u0027 with a Masters, 1+ year with a PhD or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree. \n\u2022 Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years. \n\u2022 Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret Clearance. \n\u2022 3+ years\u2019 experience working project requirements to meet schedule timelines \n\u2022 Ability to respond to urgent request for field support (ability to travel on short notice) \n\u2022 4+ years\u2019 of experience MM III ICBM Codes system - including a basic familiarity of the broader Air Force Codes organization with codes hardware, software and interfacing systems \n\u2022 COMSEC, Cryptology and Nuclear Surety training \n\u2022 Must understand Air Force Technical Orders, 252\u2019s, 202\u2019s, Time Compliance Technical Orders and Security Classification/Declassification Guide \n\u2022 Ability to understand and work with technical data (e.g. drawings, Source Control Drawings, Fig A\u2019s, and other Weapon System documentation) \n\u2022 Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time \n\u2022 Must have a firm grasp of Microsoft Office suite programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat products \n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 1+ years\u2019 of experience working and directly interfacing with DoD customers on technical program elements and leading technical teams in solving weapon system maintenance actions \n\u2022 Active Top Secret Clearance with investigation within the last 3 years \n\u2022 Experience in assessing weapon system failure data, trend analysis and working with broader reliability organizations in assessing subsystem end-of-life analyses \n\u2022 Experience with participation in Ground Systems Aging Surveillance \n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
