The role requires significant experience in designing and implementing cloud services, including identity management, networking, security controls, automation, and VPN\u2011based network transport, with the ability to integrate multiple technologies to meet broader business and mission objectives. In addition to operational responsibilities, the architect also supports DoD business development activities by engaging with customers, identifying mission needs, shaping solution concepts, developing technical proposal content, and creating architectures that align with required compliance frameworks. The position demands strong communication skills and the ability to translate mission requirements into actionable, technically sound designs while serving as a senior advisor across cloud, security, and compliance efforts\n\nIn parallel, the architect directly supports DoD business development efforts. This includes attending customer meetings with BD teams, identifying mission requirements, shaping solution concepts, preparing technical inputs for proposals, and developing architectures aligned with DoD compliance frameworks. The individual will assist in building competitive, compliant, and technically sound solutions that enable growth in the federal market. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to engage in client discussions, and the capacity to translate mission needs into actionable technical designs. The architect will operate as a senior technical advisor for cloud, security, and compliance-related pursuits across the DoD portfolio.\n\nJob Duties:\n\n * Lead AWS GovCloud Landing Zone operations, including configuration, updates, and governance.\n * Manage cloud migration planning and execution for Client programs.\n * Maintain and configure cloud-native and third-party tooling supporting Landing Zone services.\n * Oversee and potentially operate Landing Zone managed services.\n * Participate in BD and client meetings to define mission requirements and recommend technical approaches.\n * Create solution architectures, estimates, and technical proposal content for DoD pursuits.\n * Ensure solutions align with DoD requirements (CMMC, NIST 800\u201153, FedRAMP, Zero Trust).\n * Support orals, technical reviews, and customer deep-dive sessions.\n * Coordinate with engineering teams and program leadership to deliver scalable cloud solutions. Serve as a senior technical advisor on cloud, networking, IAM, and security architectures.\n * Provide guidance during orals, technical reviews, and customer deep\u2011dive sessions.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or operations.\n * Minimum 5 years of experience working with Cloud.\n * Minimum 3 years supporting DoD programs or federal secure cloud environments.\n * Active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience delivering at least 2 cloud migration projects involving application or infrastructure transition to AWS.\n * Experience participating in at least 2 proposal cycles or 1 year supporting federal business development.\n * Cloud Solutions Architect \u2013 Professional or other specialty certifications.\n * Experience with Forcepoint, VPN technologies, and DoD cross\u2011domain or boundary security solutions.\n * Familiarity with CMMC compliance validation activities.\n * Strong communication and client\u2011facing skills, including experience supporting oral presentations.\n * Proficient in developing technical roadmaps and explaining complex concepts to non\u2011technical stakeholders.\n * Experience working with multinational teams or coordinating with enterprise engineering groups.\n * Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities.\n\n\n\nWhere required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $116,775 - $270,312. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate\u2019s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
