Pay Rate: $68,000.00-$75,000.00

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm during the school year (August 20th-June 26th) with summers and school breaks off

Here’s what a Head Preschool Teacher’s day looks like:

• Ensure each student's health and safety at all times through adherence to our daily protocols
• Lead DOE 4's preschool classes while using the Creative Curriculum to bring learning to life!
• Support each student in their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth by learning through play in a positive and caring way
• Engage daily with parents and caregivers, sharing your classroom’s day-to-day activities and developmental milestones.
• Provide guidance and support to teaching staff, demonstrating enthusiasm for positively impacting children's lives to include observing teaching staff and providing appropriate feedback and instruction.
• Collaborate with the Head of School on administrative tasks, including staff scheduling, and enrollment management.

• Hold 2+ years of lead teaching experience in an early childhood classroom or Pre-k, Kindergarten, or grades 1-2 (required)
• Have a Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in early childhood education or related field (required)
• Have a New York State Early Childhood Initial or Permanent Certification in 1-6 or B-2 (required)
• Strong classroom management skills, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced early childhood environment.

Physical Demands:

The role involves standing, walking, sitting, constant movement, and occasional climbing. The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required. Specific sensory abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.
