We’re not just looking for someone who loves dogs. We’re looking for someone who’s already led a team in a professional dog daycare with structured, off-leash playgroups.

We need someone who can help refine and build on our structured foundation, while supporting staff and ensuring every dog’s safety and success.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of professional dog daycare management experience (supervising staff + leading off-leash playgroups of 8+ dogs)
• Experience leading or coaching a team in a pet care environment
• A confident, calm communicator with assertive energy around both dogs and people
• Someone who thrives in a results-driven, no-micromanagement environment
• Reliable, coachable, and proactive—you don’t wait to be told what needs doing
• Able to work on-site in Everett, WA (Tues–Fri only, no weekends or holidays!)

Compensation

1. $20–$25/hour, depending on experience and performance
2. Monthly commission bonuses based on new daycare daycare-specific revenue growth:

• 17.5% on $1,000–$1,999
• 20% on $2,000–$2,999
• 22.5% on $3,000–$3,999
• 25% on $4,000+

 Example: If daycare-specific revenue grows from $5,000 in June to $9,000 in July, you’d earn 25% on the $4,000 increase—a $1,000 bonus.

* Why This Matters – Read Before Applying

We often hear from candidates who’ve worked in vet clinics, pet retail, or as solo sitters and walkers. While those roles involve animals, they do not prepare someone for what this position demands—unless you’ve worked in a structured dog daycare or boarding facility where off-leash group play and team leadership were part of your daily responsibilities.

This role isn’t about watching dogs play or stepping in when someone else tells you to. It’s about:

1. Deciding which dogs are safe to pair together
2. Managing real-time group dynamics in high-energy environments
3. Preventing incidents before they happen—not just responding after the fact
4. Training and coaching wranglers on safety standards and behavior protocols
5. Adjusting playroom structure (timing, space, rotation, dog selection) based on what the group needs that day
6. Owning the outcome of everything that happens on your watch

Unless you’ve been the one in charge—the person making the call on which dogs play together, when to step in, how to coach the team, and how to adjust the routine to prevent issues—this role will be beyond your experience.
