Job Responsibilities:
- Drive our fully equipped grooming van to appointments in the Baton Rouge area.
- Provide professional grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling.
- Ensure pet safety and comfort using gentle handling and positive reinforcement.
- Assess pets' coat, skin health, and well-being, informing owners of any concerns.
- Educate pet owners on grooming best practices and recommend home-care products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming equipment and the van.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
Requirements:
Passion for animals and a love for pet grooming.
Professional grooming experience with expertise in breed-specific cuts and coat care.
Valid grooming license (where required).
Valid driver’s license & clean record (ability to drive a grooming van safely).
Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with pet owners.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality grooming.
Ability to work independently, manage time, and adapt to scheduling needs.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
Grooming certification from a reputable school is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (including heavy dogs when necessary).
