Dog Physiotherapist

Job Description - Dog Physiotherapist

Location: Dripping Springs, TX

Position: Full-time, on-site

Travel: Occasionally to Europe and Asia

Client: One Great Dane

About the role

This isn’t "just a dog" - this is family.

The position is centered around caring for a deeply loved, expressive, intuitive, and sensitive Great Dane, with a strong focus on long-term wellbeing and quality of life.

We’re looking for a full-time dog physiotherapist who understands that caring for an animal is equal parts science, intuition, patience, and heart.

This position is about supporting the dog to feel their absolute best - physically, emotionally, and energetically - every single day.

If you believe healing happens through skilled hands, calm presence, and deep empathy, this role was made for you.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for designing and delivering personalized, ongoing physiotherapy and recovery care for 1 Great Dane, including but not limited to:

  • Therapeutic dog massages (muscle relaxation, recovery, mobility-focused)

  • Joint and mobility support techniques

  • Injury prevention and recovery protocols

  • Stretching, strengthening, and conditioning routines

  • Pain management and comfort-focused therapies

  • Post-activity recovery care

  • Gentle bodywork to support mood, calm, and overall wellbeing

  • Observing movement patterns and proactively adjusting treatments

  • Aligning care routines with travel schedules and day-to-day needs

This is hands-on, intentional, and deeply personal care - not a clinic-style, rotating-patient setup.

Travel and lifestyle

  • This position is based full-time in Dripping Springs, Texas

  • It also involves occasional international travel to Europe and Asia

  • Must be comfortable adapting care routines across locations, time zones, and environments

  • This is a long-term, relationship-based role, not a short assignment

Who you are

You’re likely someone who:

  • Is formally trained or highly experienced in canine physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or bodywork

  • Has worked closely with dogs in long-term care settings (not just one-off sessions)

  • Understands canine anatomy deeply, while also reading energy, emotion, and comfort cues

  • Is calm, grounded, patient, and affectionate

  • Believes trust matters as much as technique

  • Is observant, proactive, and detail-oriented

  • Is discreet, respectful, and professional

  • Loves dogs genuinely, obsessively, joyfully 🐾

Bonus (but not required):

  • Experience working with high-trust private clients

  • Knowledge of complementary therapies (hydrotherapy, mobility aids, recovery tools, etc.)

If you believe dogs deserve the same level of care, intention, and respect as humans - and if the idea of supporting one incredible dog's quality of life excites you - we’d love to hear from you.
