Camp Bow Wow Albany seeks exceptional people to provide loving care for dogs and a superior customer service for our pet parents. We are currently interviewing for a full-time Front Desk Representative. Our full-time employees are expected to work 34-40 hours each week and be available for weekend work and holidays.
The Front Desk Representative position is physically demanding and full of daily challenges and victories. If you find yourself saying, “I love dogs and people," then this might be a fit for you!
Requirements
Must love dogs and demonstrate no fear across all breeds and sizes.
Must possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable with both dogs and people.
Must have a positive attitude, are extremely detailed oriented, trustworthy, punctual, reliable, and responsible.
Must be able to multi-task.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. We work when others are enjoying vacation and holidays.
- Must be physically able to lift 150+ pounds.
- Have a reliable personal vehicle.
- Be available to work during the hours of Monday-Saturday 12pm-7:45pm and Sunday 3pm-7:45pm.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Must have proven experience in excellent customer service and sales.
- Previous dog daycare and boarding or veterinary reception experience helpful, but not required.
Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities
- Great pet parents promptly.
- Escort dogs to the back of house cabin area.
- Manage reservations via phone, email, and the portal.
- Process credit card and cash payments.
- Be knowledgeable of all of our services.
- Sales experience prompting all of our offerings.
- Manage client concerns in a timely fashion.
- Review vaccine records accurately.
- Schedule grooming and training appointments.
- General cleaning assignments during slow periods.
- Support Back of House during slow periods.
- Respond to escalations in the play yards.
- Perform duties of Camp Counselor during slow periods or busy periods.
- Establish accounts for new clients, gathering proper information.
