Position Overview:

Four-Legged Fun Zone is expanding! We’re looking for a certified, driven dog training professional to help us launch a new hybrid daycare-training experience. This unique role combines hands-on daycare group supervision with designing enrichment programs, creating group classes, and leading training upgrades for daycare participants.

You'll be at the forefront of building our future "Dog School" — and will be financially rewarded for the classes and enrichment programs you create and grow. We provide the marketing, scheduling, and administrative support so you can focus on what you do best: working with dogs, training, and mentoring.

Primary Responsibilities:

• This is an onsite, in-person role with daily interaction with dogs and clients.
• Supervise safe, positive daycare playgroups, integrating training-based enrichment activities daily.
• Design, promote, and lead small group training classes (puppy basics, confidence building, manners, etc.) for daycare clients and the public.
• Create and sell enrichment upgrades for daycare participants (scent work, impulse control games, mini skill sessions).
• Mentor the daycare team on basic training handling and enrichment techniques (non-managerial leadership role).
• Track participation, progress, and client feedback to continually improve programs.
• Collaborate directly with leadership to lay the foundation for our Dog School program.

Requirements:

• Current certification from CPDT-KA, IAABC, KPA-CTP, Fear Free, or equivalent — or proof of active enrollment/testing within 6 months.
• Minimum 1+ year working hands-on with groups of off-leash dogs in a professional daycare, training facility, or boarding setting.
• Proven experience designing and leading group dog training classes and/or structured enrichment programs.
• Strong foundation in positive reinforcement training methods.
• Confidence mentoring peers in a positive, supportive way.
• Creativity, initiative, and drive to build something special from the ground up.
• Excellent communication skills with both teammates and clients.
• Physically able to supervise active dogs and maintain a safe environment.

Compensation:

• $20–22/hour for all worked hours (daycare supervision, enrichment sessions, class prep, teaching, and administrative tasks).
• Tiered Commission Bonuses:
• 15% commission on gross revenue up to $999/month
• 17.5% commission on gross revenue $1,000–$1,999/month
• 20% commission on gross revenue $2,000+/month
• $10–20 bonus per enrichment upgrade sold to daycare clients.
• Merit-based raises as our Dog School program expands!
