Domestic Automotive Technician - CMA's Toyota & Chevy of Martinsburg

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform vehicle repairs and maintenance with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and factory standards. This role requires strong diagnostic skills and effective communication with both customers and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.

- Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and thorough inspections.

- Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts for repairs.

- Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.

- Examine assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.

- Communicate with the service advisor immediately regarding any additional work needed, unnecessary repairs, or delays in completing repairs.

- Document all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.

- Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure proper functioning.

- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.

- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.

- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

• Automotive technical school, OEM training
• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Automatic Transmission/Transaxle Certification for Auto/Light Truck
• Brakes Certification for Auto/Light Truck
• Electrical/Electronic Systems Certification for Auto/Light Truck

• Heating and Air Conditioning Certification for Auto/Light Truck

• Advanced Series—Automobile Advanced Engine Performance Certification
