Job Description - Donation Manager - Room for Advancement

We are hiring an analytical Donation Manager to join our high-achieving team at Scion Staffing in Forest Hills, NY.

Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Donation Manager for our client, a nonprofit advocacy group aiming to advance democratic values for their community within the US and worldwide based in New York, NY! This is a wonderful full-time, hybrid, direct-hire opportunity with a dedicated, mission-driven team!
 
What You Will Be Doing 
  • Efficient "Pledge to Cash" transaction processing and reporting
  • Strong internal controls for accurate gift recording and fund safeguarding
  • Collaborative communication with relevant departments
  • Alignment of financial systems with development operations
  • Assistance to Donor Center and attendance at National Development meetings
  • Oversight of gift follow-up procedures
  • Reconciliation of gift revenue across financial systems
  • Preparation of financial campaign reports
  • Creation of new appeal and fund codes
  • Conducting variance analyses
  • Supervision of gift processing staff
 
What You Have To Offer
  • Minimum 5 years of record-keeping experience in non-profit organizations, including supervisory roles
  • Knowledge of fundraising and accounting principles
  • Proficiency with relational database systems; experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred
  • Familiarity with general ledger systems is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and departments effectively
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills
  • Track record of enhancing business process efficiency
  • Exceptional supervisory abilities
  • Financially literate with robust analytical skills
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for internal and external interactions
  • Highly organized with adept multitasking capabilities
     
Compensation
This exciting direct-hire opportunity offers a salary of $80,000 - $120,000 annually as well as comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, 403B Plan, PTO, and Paid Holidays).
