Donor Greeter/Warehouse Attendant

Goodwill Industries of Northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan is looking for a Full-Time Donor Greater/Warehouse Attendant at our Escanaba, MI  Store. 

Responsibilities include Sorting and quality selection of donations into salable, salvage, and trash categories. Pricing merchandise, transporting merchandise from donor door, loading and unloading of transportation trucks, sales floor, and restocking processing areas as needed. 

Essential functions of the job:

• Ensures 100% donor and customer delight.
• Ensures efficient movement of goods in the processing area to and from donor door, sales floor, production area, and in the unloading and loading of trucks with general merchandise and donated goods with the aid of material handing equipment as needed. 
• Learn to operate assigned material handling equipment in a safe and prudent manner under general supervisions, in accordance with organizational and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with donor door and sorting large hard goods into salable, salvage, and trash categories. 
• Assist with pricing merchandise using our baseline price guides; as well as special prices of exceptional value. 
• Transport trash to compactor/dumpster and operate compactor as needed. 
• Adheres to all GWNWUP and personnel policies and procedures; follow good safety practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the TLC or CSTL.

General Duties:

• Maintain quality control on all work
• Maintain equipment in assigned area.
• Responsible for assuring the adherence of safety practices.
• responsible for wearing safety glasses and/or protective gloves when required.
• May be assigned additional job duties.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

• Lift up to 40 Pounds on a daily basis
• Operate a pallet jack and forklift.
• Good communication customer service skills.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of inventory control systems. First in first out process.
• Must be willing to work evening and weekends.
