Dovetail Drawer Builder

The Drawer Builder (Dovetail) is responsible for the production of high-quality dovetail drawers, learning the entire process from material preparation to assembly and finishing. This role involves working with a team, ensuring precision in dovetail joints, and maintaining production schedules to meet project timelines. 

Key Responsibilities

• Production of dovetail drawers, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and precision.
• Preparation, cutting, assembly, and finishing of dovetail joints.
• Operate and maintain woodworking machinery, including dovetail jigs, saws, and sanders.
• Train the drawer-building apprentices, providing guidance and ensuring quality control.
• Ensure accurate measurements, cuts, and alignment for flawless assembly.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of finished drawers.
• Manage material inventory, ensuring sufficient stock and maintaining a well-organized workspace.
• Follow and enforce all safety protocols and ensure team compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform quality checks on finished products and troubleshoot any production issues.

•   Extensive experience in woodworking, specifically dovetail joinery, with a strong attention to detail.
• Must be good with people and able to work with the team effectively.
• Proficient in using woodworking tools and machinery, including dovetail jigs and saws.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to maintain production efficiency.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
