Dozen Bakery is hiring a full-time delivery driver!

We’re looking to add a full-time delivery driver to our crew. Prior delivery experience is a plus! Pay starts at $19 per hour, which includes a tip share.  This is a full-time position that reports to the Wholesale Production Manager. Dozen offers benefits to full-time employees, including paid time off, 401(k) with employer match, and medical, vision, and dental insurance.

Candidates must have a valid drivers' license and a good driving record. This position requires frequent standing, walking and bending, and the ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Basic math skills are required.

This position requires shifts that begin at 5:30 AM. At least one weekend shift per week is required.

DELIVERY DRIVER

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the daily delivery of Dozen’s products to various businesses around Nashville, as well as shopping for items needed at Dozen and communicating well with staff and customers. The responsibilities of this role include, but aren’t limited to:

DELIVERY

• Accurately packages the correct quantity of bread items for delivery.


• Delivers pastry bins and bread items quickly and accurately to each location, ensuring each customer receives the correct product.


• After delivering to a business where employees are not yet present, makes sure that the alarm is set and the building is securely locked upon leaving.


• Always drives in a safe manner, following all traffic laws.


• Ensures that paper invoices are accurately delivered to the customers who receive them.

OTHER TASKS

• Prepares for the next day by counting and labeling the bags for the next day’s Whole Foods deliveries.


• Shops for items as needed; brings these items back to Dozen and unloads them in a timely manner. 


• Monitors the delivery van for any maintenance or repair needs, reporting any needed maintenance or repairs promptly to the manager on duty.


• Follows all food safety regulations at all times.

TEAM

• Communicates with pastry, bread, and management staff regarding any questions, problems, or delays in daily wholesale orders.


• Assists the wholesale manager with training new delivery drivers.
