D/R Security Officer-Drop Officer

The Dual Rate Security Officer and Drop Officer is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and financial integrity of casino operations through disciplined security practices and strict adherence to regulatory standards. This role securely collects, transports, documents, and delivers gaming revenue while preserving accurate chain of custody and coordinating closely with surveillance and security leadership. In addition to drop duties, the officer maintains a professional and visible security presence, conducts patrols, controls access, responds to emergencies, documents incidents, and communicates effectively with management and external authorities when required. Operating in a 24 hour environment, this position requires sound judgment, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to respond calmly and professionally to routine operations and critical situations alike.

When working as a Security Drop Officer, the starting wage is $25.88/hr, increasing to $26.43/hr at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. When working as a Security Officer, the starting wage is $23.88, increasing to $24.43 at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. Essential Functions – Drop Officer

• Securely remove, replace, escort, and transport drop boxes and revenue assets while maintaining accurate documentation and strict chain of custody.


• Identify, document, and promptly report machine discrepancies, irregularities, and potential security concerns.


• Coordinate continuously with security and surveillance personnel throughout the drop process while following approved routes and procedures.


• Maintain a visible security presence and operate within established controls, policies, and gaming regulations to prevent loss and protect assets.


• Respond to emergencies and incidents as needed, render or coordinate aid, and complete accurate reports in accordance with regulatory standards.

Essential Functions – Security Officer

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence through routine patrols and access control to protect guests, employees, and property.


• Monitor, deter, and respond to suspicious activity, policy violations, and criminal behavior in compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls.


• Respond to emergencies, provide first responder assistance, and coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel as required.


• Document, secure, and preserve incident scenes and evidence, and complete detailed, accurate reports in a timely manner.


• Safeguard confidential information while enforcing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Experience & Requirements:

• One year of security experience required


• Must have excellent communication and guest relation skills


• Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for longer than 10 hours in a Gaming floor environment


• Must be able to maintain a high level on concentration


• Reaching/bending/crouching/pushing/pulling/kneeling


• Hand eye coordination: use of eyesight/finger dexterity


• Concentrating in loud/busy situations


• The ability to lift up to 100+ pounds


• Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis


• Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
