Drapery Specialist Window Treatment Expert

Description

We are seeking a Drapery Specialist with window treatment experience to join our team! This role requires a detail-oriented, organized professional with good math skills and excellent communication abilities to manage drapery order processing — from proofing and tracking to vendor coordination and customer service.

In this role, you will handle multiple tasks simultaneously, support design consultants, manage vendor relationships, and ensure every project runs smoothly from start to finish. We need someone flexible, able to adapt, and who thrives under pressure while keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities

Proof Drapery Orders

• Check orders against installer measurements and decorator specifications.
• Verify drapery dimensions and hardware details, ensuring all calculations are accurate.
• Manage ordering of COM (Customer’s Own Material) fabrics and any manual order components.

Track and Manage Orders

• Monitor vendor order progress, confirmations, and delivery timelines.
• Communicate proactively with decorators and customers on delays, backorders, or product changes.
• Ensure complete orders move efficiently to installation scheduling.

• Serve as the primary contact for drapery vendors, addressing questions and resolving issues.

Decorator & Customer Support

• Assist design consultants with project planning, quoting, and product selection.
• Provide support on pricing, costs, and discounts, including custom quote requests.
• Deliver top-tier customer service and maintain positive client relationships.

Repairs and Remakes

• Work with the customer service manager to address damaged or incorrect products.
• Coordinate repairs or remakes with vendors and keep customers informed.

Salary Description

$20-$24/hr 

Requirements

• Window treatment or drapery experience (preferred) 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Good math and measurement skills 
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities 
• Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities 
• Strong computer skills with ability to learn and use point of sale and vendor software
• Strong customer service mindset 
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to handle stress under tight deadlines
