Description

Hilltop Reserve, Denver’s premiere senior living community, is seeking a conscientious and outgoing driver for our residents. The community driver is responsible for providing transportation to the residents for appointments and errands as well as community events. You are responsible for ensuring the safety of all passengers in our company vehicles. This position also assists the maintenance team with ensuring the grounds are clean, and doing light maintenance. You will be working Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transport residents using company vehicle to appointments, errands, and other activities as needed, including doctor appointments, grocery shopping, banking, worship services, etc.
• Carries belongings, opens doors, and cautions residents on steps and other objects in their path. Opens/closes and loads/unloads walkers and wheelchairs. Assists residents in and out of the vehicle utilizing the wheelchair lift and/or stairs, if needed.
• Ensures residents are safely seated with seat belts secured.
• Assists residents in wheelchairs during activities outside the community.
• Accounts for presence of all residents when leaving or returning to the community.
• Keeps the facility vehicle clean and properly maintained. Reports mechanical issues and repairs to the supervisor and schedules appointments as needed.
• Interacts with residents in a friendly manner, providing meaningful attention and communicating concerns of resident’s health to management as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Must have valid state driver’s license with a good driving record
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred
• Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed

Pay:

$21.00 - $22.50 an hour, based on experience
