Schedule: 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Job Objectives:

GSP is looking for team player to work in a challenging and fast paced environment. We need a driver who can not only run routine pickups and deliveries, but also assist in the purchasing and materials team, along with work in the shipping/receiving department preparing product for shipment and assisting as necessary. This position would report to the Buyer/Planner or the Materials Manager

Responsibilities:

• MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORD, CDL NOT REQUIRED.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Packaging and prepping parts for transit to outside vendors for special processes.
• Use of our internal system to determine where any additional work in progress might be.
• Use of our internal system to review customer schedule and assign priority.
• Use of our critical parts list and line of balance list to further identify critical parts.
• Creation and maintenance of daily OV shelf list to keep track of what is available to send to outside vendors. 
• Creation of purchase order for OV supplier.
• Delivery and pick up of parts from out outside vendors both locally and across state lines. 
• Screen/visually inspect non-conforming OV parts as needed
• Assist shipping and receiving. 
• Keeping vans clean and working with the maintenance team to ensure vans are serviced as necessary to keep in safe driving condition. 

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Understanding of product and flow in the company
• Excellent customer service skills
• Acts as an ambassador for the company with customer, vendors, and the public
• Able to fill out and maintain required company records and shipping documents
• Use of judgement in determining route scheduling, pick-ups and deliveries
