Driver

Purpose:

The driver is responsible for safely operating delivery vans/trucks over established routes to deliver or pick-up customer-related products, materials, and/or supplies.

Essential Responsibilities
• Drives company vehicles to deliver and/or pickup customer products, parts, materials, supplies, and tools
• Loads and unloads trucks by hand or by use of forklift or dolly
• Maintains mileage log for fuel cost analysis
• Verifies delivery load against shipping documents and obtains customer signature on packing slip for proof of delivery/pick-up

Specific Expectations
• Delivers customer products before 4:00 pm daily
• Certifies as Fork Lift Driver and recertifies every three years
• Maintains valid state driver license and, at least, minimum required accident insurance
• Obeys all traffic signs, local laws and regulations in while operating company vehicle

Education
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• 3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid California Driver’s License and current auto insurance required
