POSITION TITLE: DRIVER

DEPARTMENT: RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

JOB SUMMARY
This position transports clients to approved destinations in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Driver does not supervise any positions.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Transport clients using ShareHouse company vehicles to/from approved destinations to ensure timely and safe arrival


• Assists disabled client passengers in and out of vehicle to provide safe and comfortable transportation to destinations


• Follows all safety laws, rules, and monitors clients to ensure use of vehicle safety equipment/features to ensure safe transportation. Daily review of vehicle operating conditions to ensure they meet company and road safety standards


• Clean and service ShareHouse vehicles and vehicle garages. Report and track maintenance issues to ensure that company vehicles are in appropriate operating condition


• Provide and maintain reliable and prompt attendance, with the ability to work the schedule dictated by business necessity


• Advise on ShareHouse owned vehicle sales/purchases to ensure best fit for company needs


• Be familiar with and adhere to all company and insurance vehicle accident policies and procedures


• Record mileage on a daily basis

PERIODIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with other drivers to determine most efficient use of time and resources


• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires High School Diploma or GED

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATES

• Must possess valid current driver’s license, clean driving record and be able to be insured according to company insurance standards. Must get Safe Driver certification prior to operating any company vehicles


• Must hold and maintain current certification in CPR and first aid

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works in an environment with few physical discomforts; may occasionally be exposed to drafts, noise, temperature variations and odors.
