Position Summary

A Driver at JR Metal Works plays a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate transportation of materials, parts, and finished goods between our facilities, vendors, and customers. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the move, values independence, and takes pride in reliability and service.

In addition to driving, this role supports day-to-day operations through hands-on material handling, loading and unloading, and coordination with internal teams to keep schedules aligned. You’ll be a key link in our production and customer satisfaction chain. Hours are flexible based on business needs, with full-time opportunities available—making this a great fit for someone seeking variety in their workday.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, parts, and finished goods between locations.


• 
  Load and unload materials with care, ensuring product quality and accuracy.


• 
  Verify shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, or delivery documentation as needed.


• 
  Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet timelines and support production flow.


• 
  Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding delivery status, updates, or issues.


• 
  Maintain accurate delivery records, mileage logs, and vehicle documentation.


• 
  Uphold all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills

• 
  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.


• 
  Previous driving or delivery experience preferred.


• 
  Ability to safely operate trucks, vans, or other company vehicles as needed (non-CDL).


• 
  Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.


• 
  Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.


• 
  Flexibility to adjust schedule based on business needs.
