Delivery Driver will drive a class A or B truck to deliver products to businesses on a scheduled route or intermittently. Establish and maintain high levels of customer service.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for delivering product to customer locations.
Deliver to all stops assigned each day and unload all cases as directed.
Depending upon volume, delivery vehicles will be operated by a single driver or driver accompanied by a helper.
Walk up and down ramps and stairs (tight cellars) of liquor stores bars, and restaurants.
Maintains Company vehicles with daily pre-trip inspection
Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and two-wheeler.
Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations
Maintain appropriate drivers' license and endorsements
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate effective use of safety rules including proper lifting.
Ability to lift cases averaging 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height.
Ability to operate a two-wheeled hand truck, pushing and pulling weights exceeding 150lb
Forklift experience a plus, but not necessary
Respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports and records
Able to work in all weather conditions.
Education/Experience/Training:
3 Years route driving experience
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Must have CDL Class A or B Driver's License.
Must be at least 21 years old
Understand highway traffic signs and signals
Basic computer experience or knowledge a plus
Must be able to read and speak the English language
Physical Demands and Environment:
Work is strenuous in nature requiring frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds and the regular lifting of objects weighing in excess of 40 pounds
Work requires the employee to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl or reach as may be necessary to accomplish tasks
Work requires moderate concentration to effectively execute varied tasks with some level of complexity
Work requires travel and exposure to weather conditions while visiting customers, prospects or vendors
Potential for accidents due to over the road travel including traffic accidents, delivery of goods or the set up of display
