Driver Delivery & Pickup – American Heat Treating, Inc.

Company Background: American Heat Treating, Inc. (AHT) located in Monroe, CT, was founded in 1981 to serve the saw bland and tooling businesses. It has become one of the finest and most versatile heat-treating facilities in the Northeast. 

Summary: Provide pick-up and delivery service of parts and supplies for Customer and Company.  

Essential Duties and Requirements:

• Deliver and pick up parts and supplies as directed by Shipping Supervisor & Production Manager.
• Complete a daily vehicle log and time sheet.
• Perform vehicle inspection daily and advise supervisor of any maintenance or repairs that are needed on vehicle.
• Operate a forklift.
• Load and unload truck
• Stamp and match up all signed packing slips with work orders after deliveries are made.
• Maintain a good driving record and report all accidents or damages to vehicle immediately to Supervisor.
• Attend training activities as required.

Qualifications and Education:

• Graduation from high school or receipt of equivalent degree (GED).
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Exam Card
• Forklift license/certificate.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of safety standards.
• Good communication and time management skills
