Driver / Maintenance & Equipment Support

Summary:

Join a mission-driven team focused on native plant production and ecological restoration. We’re seeking a Full-Time Driver who can do more than just drive—someone who’s comfortable operating equipment, handling basic maintenance, and supporting field and nursery operations.

Location: Leland, IL, 60531 | Schedule: Monday–Friday 7am - 4pm | Weekends as needed with advanced notice | Overtime!

What You’ll Do:

• Safely transport native plants, restoration materials, heavy equipment, and office supplies to job sites and clients


• Operate a range of vehicles including pickup trucks, trailers, and flatbeds


• Perform basic mechanical tasks and routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment


• Assist with loading/unloading and securing cargo


• Operate small machinery and tools (e.g., skid steers, mini excavators, compact loaders)


• Maintain delivery logs and perform daily vehicle inspections


• Support nursery or field staff with light labor as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Class C (non-CDL) license required; CDL Class A preferred


• Clean driving record and experience with trailers or heavy loads


• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with equipment operation


• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in outdoor conditions


• Strong communication, punctuality, and attention to detail


• Interest in native plants or ecological work is a plus!
