Job Description - Driver Recruiter

TCI has been serving the transportation industry now for 50 years by maintaining the highest level of quality customer service. Here at TCI we’ve developed a family like work environment which we are proud of. TCI currently has an opportunity for a Driver Recruiter to join our team. If you are bilingual in Spanish or other languages that is a plus. Strong computer skills are a requirement.

Position Overview as follows:

Reports to Director of Recruiting and Retention



Position Schedule

This position will require the employee’s primary schedule to be set during normal business hours and will be full-time Monday-Friday from 08:00a.m.-05:00p.m. Nights and weekends and travel may be necessary depending on business needs.

Summary/Objective

The Recruiter will be responsible for reviewing applications, interviewing applicants and on-boarding of new hires. They will also be responsible for specific tasks assigned by the Director of Recruiting. This position may require traveling both local and out of state if needed.

Core Roles and responsibilities as follows:















  • Seek out, interview, and screen applicants to fill existing openings while maintaining current knowledge of transportation laws, DOT regulations, and Company hiring criteria, as well as maintaining and promoting Company safety goals.














  • Offer Driver applicants the most current information. Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.














  • Utilize computers and computer systems to set up functions, enter data, or process information, while ensuring that departmental policies and procedures are followed.














  • Interview, gather, and analyze information skillfully to obtain a complete application and pre-qualify applicants with the Safety Department.














  • Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, pay, and specialty and dedicated opportunities.














  • Read, review, and understand pre-employment reports.














  • May perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Experience:




  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in recruitment or a related field.

  • Experience with DOT regulations and transportation laws is preferred.

  • Previous experience in a high-volume recruitment role is a plus.

Technical Skills:


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) or other HR software.

  • Ability to effectively use computer systems to enter, analyze, and process applicant data.

  • Ability to read and interpret pre-employment reports.

  • Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office.

  • The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.

  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
