Driver/Activities Assistant Full Time starting at $19

We are looking for individuals who can embrace our mission to purposely brighten and enrich the lives of those we serve with HEART; Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect & Teamwork.  This position is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Operations Director.

• Transport residents and perform community errands as assigned and ensure that all residents who use the transportation are returned safely to the building.

• Assist all residents in and out of the vehicle. • Ensure all vehicle inspection tags, license, and insurance cards are current and displayed properly.

• Maintain clean appearance of the vehicle(s) by performing/scheduling regular interior/exterior cleaning.

• Respond immediately and appropriately to all accidents and emergencies.

• Report mechanical needs and repairs. Assist in coordination of necessary vehicle maintenance and repair service such as oil changes and tire rotations.

• Serve as activity/outing support as requested.

• Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and coworkers.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of educational experience.

Area of Study: N/A Years of Experience: Entry Level (0-3+ years) Type of Experience: Driving Special Certifications: Valid driver’s license. Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.
