Driver/Equipment Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Driver/Equipment Operator position is responsible for hauling residual, non-recyclable material to the landfill on the property. Operate equipment, forklift’s and spotter truck to move Semi trailers. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operates heavy commercial trucks, tractor-trailers, wheel loader, skid steer and forklift 
• Ensures the vehicle is in compliance with the Company’s safety standards prior to operating the vehicle 
• Delivers non recyclable material to on site landfill location
• Performs required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports 
• Ensures that all Company, regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle and equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles
• Wash, lubricate and fuel vehicle’s and equipment 
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Cover Breaks for equipment operators
• Move semi trailers with spotter truck 
• Help with house keeping

Requirements

Education and/or experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to/ or learn to operate light and heavy equipment including skid steers and loaders
