Job Description - Drug Screen Technician

Bayview Physicians Group is a dynamic and rapidly expanding outpatient, multi-specialty medical group dedicated to placing the doctor-patient relationship at the heart of quality healthcare. With more than 900 team members across the Hampton Roads area, we are always seeking talented individuals to join our growing organization.

We are currently accepting applications for a Drug Screen Technician. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to exceptional patient service. Key Responsibilities:

•   Learn and understand regulated and non-regulated drug testing procedures
•   Obtain certification as a Drug Test and Breath Alcohol Technician (training provided by NowCare)
•   Greet and check in patients at the front desk; verify requested services
•   Accurately enter patient demographic and testing information into the electronic system
•   Prepare appropriate testing and consent forms
•   Conduct drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with company protocols
•   Log, label, and prepare specimens for shipment to the laboratory
•   Scan and upload documentation into patient records
•   Maintain organized and accurate filing systems
•   Ensure testing rooms are fully stocked with necessary supplies
•   Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace at all times
•   Provide on-site collections at client locations as needed

Work Schedule Requirements:
•   Ability to work weekdays starting at 7:45 AM and/or until 8:00 PM on a rotating schedule
•   Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating basis
•   Willingness to become credentialed and respond to after-hours pager for emergency collections

Qualifications:
•   Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
•   Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
•   High attention to detail and adherence to confidentiality standards
•   Flexibility to accommodate varied scheduling needs
