Northwest Eye Surgeons is a progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice located in the Pacific Northwest, Idaho, and Alaska area. Our Company is the first in the Pacific Northwest to perform the refractive SMILE procedure, the first minimally-invasive laser correction procedure available. Northwest Eye Surgeons is searching for Full Time Optometric Physician specializing in Dry Eye to add to our growing team. We are seeking a passionate Optometrist specializing in Dry Eye to join our team. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and managing dry eye disease in patients of all ages. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing our treatment protocols and improving patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnostic tests to assess dry eye conditions.
• Provide patient-friendly, medical, as well as pre- and post-surgical eye exams.
• Perform advanced procedures
• Administer and monitor treatments including prescription medications and therapeutic devices.
• Educate patients.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in dry eye management.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
• Work collaboratively with staff optometrists and ophthalmologists
• Administer and interpret diagnostic tests as indicated.
• Maintain accurate and current patient records.
• Collaborate with community optometrists and other medical professionals to optimize the delivery of high-quality eye care strategies.
• Attend continuing education and training to enhance professional growth and development.
• Participate in promotional events and activities to showcase services to individuals and organizations.
• Familiarity with electronic health records.
• Communicate professionally and ethically with a range of patient personalities.
• Participate in an on-call schedule.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree.
• Active license, or ability to obtain active license, to practice optometry in the state of Washington.
• DEA Certification.
