Dry Vac Equipment Operator (EO)

Ancon is on the hunt for Equipment Operators to operate a Dry Vac excavation truck. We need individuals that are independent, trustworthy, and self-driven and that can work diligently to deliver the Ancon Mission! This role plays an instrumental role in the overall growth and success of Ancon.

What is the job all about?

Our Phoenix Division has an immediate opening for an Equipment Operator. The duties for this position include:

• Ensuring Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Performing basic labor tasks using hand tools, but also operating power equipment (non-driver), jack hammers, chipping hammer & air tools
• Operating a Dry Vac excavation truck with vacuum tank 
• Being responsible for safe operation of equipment.
• Performing all tasks assigned to an operator –including using hand tools (shovel, rake, vacuum hose, and pressure washer), mastering equipment operation, assisting operators with all job duties such as Pre/Post Trip inspections; performing field level risk assessments; setting up equipment, ensuring proper usage of equipment
• Ability to communicate with company man on site to ensure job details are completed in a safe and timely manner
• Ability to work with others and lead the job while directing the work of the technician in a team setting
• Ability to safely operate a truck and complete pre/post trips daily along with minor maintenance and troubleshooting possible issues

• Availability for open schedule/on-call hours
• Ability to perform manual labor (i.e. heavy lifting, confined space entry, working at heights, etc.)

• Must pass the pre-employment screening required of this position (physical, background check and drug      screening
