Summary
The skilled Drywall/Painter is responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks. These tasks include performing various repairs, ranging from minor to major, from unskilled to highly skilled, and specializes in): painting and drywall repair.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform basic drywall repairs, including but not limited to hanging, taping and finishing.
- Perform basic painting tasks including caulking and filling crevices.
- Repair punch list items as required.
- Perform basic cleanup as work is completed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in installation of trim, base and other molding components
- Experience in installation of doors and door hardware
Additional Responsibilities
Ensure all work is completed to industry standards, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work. Suggest additional repairs when identified and needed.Document all work performed as directed.Execute work orders in a timely manner.
Necessary Experience and Skill Set
- 3-5 years drywall experience
- Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving
- Effective written and oral communication
- Basic math skills
- Possess good drywall/painting skills
Formal Education/Training
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Walking and/or standing throughout the day. Frequently climbing ladders. Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat. The noise level in the work environment and jobsites can be loud. Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements This is a full-time position, working 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, 45 hours per week. This position frequently requires long hours (beyond 8 hours a day), working on-call, and weekend work. Travel is required and is primarily local. However, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
