ABOUT US
Open Hands is a Virginia Beach-based company that started as a transportation business in 2012 — transporting clients to and from various appointments. We realized during our daily transports to group homes and faculties, our client base was primarily individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. This realization birthed In-Home Support Services, a branch of Open Hands that provides care services for individuals with disabilities.
For nearly a decade, Open Hands has provided impeccable comprehensive care for not just Virginia Beach, but also the Greater Hampton Roads area. And we serve with a smile.
OUR MISSION
Our mission at Open Hands is to provide a clean, healthy and therapeutic environment in which individuals with Developmental Disabilities optimize their level of functioning and obtain normalization of their lives. Individuals will be encouraged to make independent choices and maintain positive relationships with their family and the community.
