DSP Float

Looking for a role where no two days are the same? Merrick, Inc. is looking for two Float Direct Support Professionals. This position will be floating between our two buildings and 8 different departments to build meaningful relationships and make a direct impact with our clients. Our clients range from working with a job coach in the community, to working on work contracts on our Workfloor, to doing daily life enrichment at our Willow Lake location.

What You’ll Do

• Work with assigned clients to meet their daily needs, preferences, and goals


• Train, coach, and support clients in work-related tasks, contracts, or employment settings


• Encourage client participation in meaningful work, activities, and community outings


• Provide redirection and de-escalation during challenging behavioral situations


• Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and meal preparation


• Safely transfer clients using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma


• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred


• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements (personal & company vehicles)


• Comfortable working across multiple departments and environments


• A positive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset
