AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Full -Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for multiple Manhattan residences.

DATE & TIME: THURSDAY AUGUST 14TH  from 10AM-1PM

LOCATION: Recruiter will provide Hiring Event specific address for qualified candidates.

POSITION TO BE FILLED:

40HR Evening shift: 2pm-10pm and 3pm-11pm

Drivers license Required for Upper Manhattan positions... Not required for Lower Manhattan positions!

Weekend availability Required for most positions! 

PAY RATE: $17 - $18.90 per hour depending on residence placement and driving status. Please note $17  hire-in rates will be increased to $18 per hour after 6 months if in good standing.  In addition, this position comes with a very comprehensive Benefit package which includes FREE MEDICAL INSURANCE! See below for additional Benefit information.

• The oversight of all safety and health considerations
• Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
• Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
• Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.

• Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
• Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
• Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
• Ability to use a computer for data entry.
• High school education/GED, highly preferred.
