About the Role:
Join Gateway Residential Services as a DSP Program Coordinator and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. In this dynamic role, you'll lead a dedicated team to provide exceptional support and foster a nurturing environment for our clients in Indianapolis and surrounding area.
Program Coordinators (PCs) provide person-centered services and supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in their own homes in the community. PCs play a vital role in helping people live a meaningful and purposeful life in the direction of their choice. PCs actively teach, coach, mentor, and encourage people to embrace and increase their independence and meet their personal goals. PCs are responsible for oversight of daily operations in a group of service sites and for implementing procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of services provided. A PC’s salary is based on a minimum of 32 billable hours per workweek.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the Direct Support Professional (DSP) program.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to client needs.
- Supervise and mentor DSP staff, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor client progress.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff development.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of client services.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and community resources.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all clients and staff.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of developmental disabilities and person-centered planning.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to client advocacy.
