 DTA Director
Reports To: Program Director / Executive Leadership
 Status: Full-Time / Exempt

Position Summary: Under general supervision, the DTA Director oversees the daily operations of the Day Training for Adults (DTA) program. This position ensures a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where participants can achieve their individual goals as outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISP). The Director provides leadership to staff, coordinates activities, maintains compliance with all state regulations, and promotes a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities (Illustrative Only)
● Program Oversight & Compliance
     ○ Manage day-to-day operations of the DTA program, ensuring smooth scheduling, quality activities, and compliance with all State of          Arizona guidelines.
     ○ Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to safeguard participant health, safety, and wellbeing.
     ○ Monitor program environment to ensure it is safe, clean, and conducive to learning and social interaction.

Participant Support
     ○ Support participants in achieving personal goals as outlined in their ISP.
     ○ Provide direct care as needed, including assistance with personal hygiene.
     ○ Attend ISP meetings and ensure teaching strategies are implemented, tracked, and documented daily.

Staff Leadership
     ○ Lead and coordinate staff meetings to foster communication and teamwork.
    ○ Schedule, supervise, and support program staff, including job coaches.
    ○ Provide coaching, feedback, and problem-solving guidance to staff to promote quality service delivery.

Program Coordination
    ○ Coordinate transportation for program arrivals, departures, and community outings.
    ○ Oversee participant work schedules in collaboration with job coaches..
    ○ Track attendance, prepare reports, and maintain accurate program records.

Other Duties
    ○ Serve as a positive representative of the organization to families, guardians, and referral agencies.
    ○ Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of:
● Methods and best practices for supporting individuals with physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities.
● Laws, regulations, and standards governing care providers and DTA programs.
● Recordkeeping and documentation requirements.

Skill in:
● Building trust and rapport with individuals of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
● Creating a clean, welcoming, and home-like program environment.
● Leading teams and fostering a collaborative, positive workplace culture.

 Ability to:
● Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
● Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
● Establish and maintain positive relationships with participants, staff, guardians, referral agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications 
● High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in a related field preferred. 
● At least 18 years of age. 
● Combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. 
● Ability to pass the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) background check.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
