Starting from just after school clubs to before and after-school programs, we blend fun with science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) to spark creativity and innovation. Position Summary
The Dual Site Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Discover After School’s Before & After School programs at Central Avenue Elementary School and Pleasant Hill Elementary School. The Dual Site Director serves as the primary leader for both locations, ensuring high-quality programming, staff supervision, operational excellence, and strong partnerships with school administration and families. The Director will be assigned a home office at one of the two schools while maintaining a regular presence and oversight at both campuses.
This role requires a dynamic leader who can effectively manage multiple teams, maintain consistent program quality across sites, and foster a positive environment for students, families, and staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Before & After School programs at both Central Avenue Elementary School and Pleasant Hill Elementary School.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for school administrators, families, students, and Discover After School leadership.
- Maintain a home office at one assigned school while regularly visiting and supervising both sites.
- Ensure consistency in program quality, policies, and procedures across both locations.
- Develop and implement structured educational and recreational programming aligned with Discover After School’s mission.
Staff Management:
- Train, supervise, and evaluate site staff at both schools.
- Ensure proper staffing ratios are maintained.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff members.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and student success.
Student & Family Engagement:
- Provide excellent customer service to all students, families, school personnel, and community partners.
- Build strong relationships with parents and maintain open lines of communication.
- Ensure programs meet the physical, emotional, social, and educational needs of students.
- Model positive behavior and promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
Compliance & Administration:
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, billing, incidents, staff files, and health & safety requirements.
- Ensure compliance with school district policies, state regulations, and Discover After School standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure facilities, equipment, and program spaces are clean, organized, and safe.
- Prepare reports and communicate operational updates to Area Managers and company leadership.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of childcare management experience, preferably overseeing multiple programs or locations.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working directly with children.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred.
- Must successfully complete:
- Criminal Background Screening
- Drug Screening
- DCF required trainings and certifications
Required DCF Training:
Candidates must complete the 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) prior to their start date.
Additionally, candidates must complete one of the following:
- Part II “Special Needs Appropriate Practices,” or
- At least 8 hours of training in serving children with disabilities, or
- 10-hour “School-Age Appropriate Practices” module, or
- 5-hour “Understanding Developmentally Appropriate Practices” and 5-hour “School-Age Appropriate Practices” courses.
Candidates who already possess these certifications are strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple locations and priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to problem solve and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based administrative systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Compensation:
$18 per hour Pay is biweekly.

Schedule:
August 2026 – May 2027
Monday – Friday
Morning Care: 6:15 AM – 8:30 AM
After Care: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
The Dual Site Director will divide their time between both schools and will maintain a designated home office at either Central Avenue Elementary School or Pleasant Hill Elementary School as assigned by Discover After School.
Education
Preferred degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of childcare management experience.
- Experience leading multiple teams or locations preferred.
- Experience in before & after school programming strongly preferred.
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
