Location: Hybrid Remote/Boston, MA or Montgomery, AL
As a Cloud Administrator III, you will maintain smooth operation of different cloud-based systems, including coordination with network administrators. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation for cloud infrastructure and tenant inventory, tunes system performance, installs system wide software and allocates mass storage space. Respond to large-scale events involving instantiation of virtual resources such VMs and storage. Fix critical software and system failures. Propose, drive and implement technical solutions for automation, efficiency and scalability. Develop/improve tools, reports, and processes to monitor the health of cloud environment.
The proposed salary range for this position is $95,307-$97,566. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES
Deploy and manage public and private cloud environments using automated methodologies
Administer, configure, maintain and monitor cloud systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance
Support the implementation of cloud operational standards aligned with business and IT requirements
Assist in supporting and modernizing existing on-premises networks, servers, and VoIP infrastructure
Maintain and optimize existing network and domain environments while ensuring security and reliability
Assist in implementing new on-premises and cloud systems using best practices and industry standards
Support administration and configuration of network switches and routers to maintain infrastructure operations
Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability
Develop and maintain custom automation scripts using PowerShell, Python or Bash and cloud resource automation, terraform and/or OCI Resource Manager
Support administration and monitoring of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, including compute instances, storage, networking, and tenant configurations
Create and maintain detailed documentation and diagrams for IT infrastructure to support operational continuity and compliance
Assist in resolving infrastructure issues and participate in troubleshooting activities within cloud and network environments
Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across program functions
Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded
Identify and forward to leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area
Participate in growth efforts as requested
Ensure all contractual deliverables are met or exceeded to the customer's satisfaction
Complete personal PDP and attend staff meetings and Storytime (with camera on)
Build productive and positive professional relationships with clients within your program
Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract-specific LCAT and requirements
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience supporting cloud systems administration and infrastructure operations
Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and system issues with moderate guidance
Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure administration, automation, and security principles
Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure administration, automation, and security principles
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and configuration management
Experience with network administration, including switches, routers, and VoIP infrastructure
- Experience with AWS cloud services and environments
DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification
At least one cloud certification
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Hands-on experience with public or private cloud deployments
Knowledge of IT infrastructure best practices and industry standards
Experience in network and domain administration
Familiarity with cloud-based automation tools and methodologies
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Experience with Agile development methodologies
