The Earl Monroe New Renaissance Basketball School (EMNRBS) seeks a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Data and Technology Coordinator to join our school starting August 2024. The ideal candidate will have experience working at the High School level; well-organized and experience interpreting and presenting data in multiple ways; a passion for student engagement; a willingness to grow and develop systems; and a passion for working with adolescents in a community with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

The EMNRBS opened its doors to a diverse freshman class of 110 boys and girls in August 2021; we are excited to welcome our fourth cohort of students in the summer of 2024, bringing our total enrollment to 400 and witnessing our first graduating class cross the stage. This school is the first specialty high school in the entire country for basketball, but NOT for the PLAYING of the game. Our Founding Trustee, former NBA Commissioner David Stern, would often say, “A Ball and a Book Can Change the World.”

All students will be challenged and supported in their drive to achieve wisdom, service, community, and leadership journey.

Essential Functions

• Provide in-service training for teachers in the use of instructional equipment with the goal of helping each teacher to become an effective user of their available technology,
• Serve as an information resource person, assist in solving problems, and provide technical assistance.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of instructional equipment.
• Assist in the acquisition and inventory of consumable supplies and replacement components for instructional devices.
• Provide information for school budget planning and assist in the purchase of hardware and software.
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with School administrators on building use and implementation of technology.
• Ensure the timely submission and accuracy of all student and data management system information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

• Master’s degree in the content area or related field preferred, Bachelor’s degree required
• At least 3 years of teaching experience using computers and technologies’ and using data to inform decision making.
• Bilingual, preferred

The Earl Monroe New Renaissance Basketball School offers a competitive starting salary of $80,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, professional development opportunities, and an extraordinary work environment; this is a 12-month position.
