Supervise children closely in all settings including the classroom, playground, field trips, and transitions.
Maintain classroom equipment, materials, and records (e.g., sanitizing tables, managing sign-in/out logs) to meet health and safety standards.
Assist with diaper changing, bottle feeding, snacks and meals, and other caregiving routines with hygiene and safety protocols in mind.
2. Social-Emotional Development
Foster a nurturing and respectful environment that promotes positive relationships and emotional well-being.
Manage individual and group behaviors in a calm and supportive manner to build self-regulation and interpersonal skills.
Support the development of appropriate social behaviors through modeling, redirection, and intentional teaching moments.
3. Instructional Delivery
Adapt activities and materials to meet diverse learning needs and developmental levels.
Engage students individually and in small groups to support language, literacy, numeracy, and other foundational skills.
Collaborate with teachers and colleagues to implement curriculum and reinforce learning goals.
4. Professionalism & School Engagement
Attend staff meetings, in-service trainings, and required professional development to remain compliant with state guidelines and stay current on best practices.
Support the school’s mission, vision, and community values as an active advocate of Kehoe-France Northshore.
Perform tasks as directed by the Principal and/or Preschool Director to support the overall success of the program.
Participate in school-wide events, team collaborations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education, attentive to safety and developmental needs, and committed to fostering a warm, engaging, and high-quality learning environment.
