Early Childhood Coordinator



Position Purpose / Overview:



Heights Church is looking for a leader to lead early childhood age kids to know that they Belong at Heights Church, Believe in Jesus, and Become more like Jesus. We work hard to provide a safe environment for families, and know that while they’re in church worshipping, we are discipling their kids to have a lasting faith in Jesus. All while having FUN.



Hours & Expectations




  • 20 hours a week, Prescott weekend services, mid-week prep, and building relationships with serve team.



Modeling Biblical Principles


Responsible for upholding Biblical priorities and core values of Heights Church. The Early Childhood coordinator should represent a growing personal relationship with Christ. The Early Childhood coordinator will strive to fulfill his/her purpose in life and ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships, and actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Be a Team Player

    • Next Gen Team

      • Have a servant’s heart to help within the Next Gen team as needed



    • Kid’s Team

      • Attend and actively participate in the weekly Kid’s Team meetings

      • Function as a caring team member who seeks to help where needed



    • Mission Minded

      • Strive to function within the mission of Heights Church

      • Be outreach focused and encourage/resource parents with young kids



    • Prepare Curriculum

      • Modify Brite curriculum to fit the needs of Height’s Kids weekly

      • Prepare curriculum and supplies for each room weekly



    • Serve Team

      • Recruit, lead & develop serve team for all early childhood classes

      • Schedule serve team to ensure each early childhood is covered for all services

      • Train serve team



    • Thursday Women’s Vital/ Bible

      • Staff on site, assistant with any needs that are beyond serve team roles/responsibilities.



    • Staff Responsibilities

      • Have 1 on 1 meetings with direct report

      • Attend all-staff meetings 

      • Be willing/available to help with “all-hands-on-deck” events







Qualifications and Skills Experience



  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating the work of others 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook),

  • Experience with Planning Center (PCO), and other church management software.

  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
