The Childhood Mental Health Consultant creates a nurturing environment that advances social-emotional and
behavioral health outcomes among children ages 0 to 5 years old through the advancement of early childhood professionals in early childhood education programs. The consultant works to promote mental health wellness
in young children by increasing the capacity of adult caregivers to support children's social and emotional needs. The ECMHC program broadly seeks to increase child and caregiver resilience, while reducing challenging behaviors
(including those that lead to suspensions and expulsions) by utilizing evidence-based best practices;
providing early identification of behavioral concerns; and making referrals to appropriate community services.

In addition, ECMHCs may also provide critical ancillary activities including, supporting the development of
Leadership teams at early childhood education programs, parent education, and site/program training on
topics related to social-emotional development and well‐being of young children.

Tykes & Teens is a CE-Broker supported organization and we provide over 12 hours of continued education
per year in addition to weekly staffing to support your clinical growth. We also provide free Clinical Supervision 
toward licensure.

 The experience you will bring:

• Master’s degree preferred, in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, early childhood development or related field and a minimum of 2 years' work experience in the delivery of
  early childhood practices, adult learning and/or early childhood education programs system changes
• Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) is a plus, but not required.
• A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance is required.
• An ability to work in a team environment.

The pay range is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
