Early Childhood Specialist Home Based

The Early Childhood Specialist will provide on-site coaching and mentoring customized
for childcare providers in the Southeast Region to strengthen high-quality, responsive, and
relationship-based care.

Required Qualifications
 An Associate’s Degree or higher in Child Development, Early Childhood Education,
Family Studies,
Social Work, or a closely related field.
 At least two (2) years of professional experience in the area of early childhood
development or
possess a Family Child Care Development Associate (CDA) credential; and
 At least three (3) years of professional experience working with children in a childcare
setting.

Primary Responsibilities
 Ability to build rapport with child care providers and Directors.
 Develop, schedule and administer virtual/in-person clock hour trainings to child care
providers with six (6) or fewer children that have a Child Care Provider Agreement, licensed family
child care home providers, licensed group home child care providers, licensed and license-exempt child
care centers in the southeast region.
 Conduct on-site technical assistance (TA)/modeling visits with child care
providers to model the practical applications of the topics covered in the training
 Use of a personal vehicle is required and will be reimbursed monthly.
 Recruit new, qualified early childhood providers for participation in the program.
 Occasional evening and Saturday hours will be required.
 Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
 Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
 Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
