All Saints Catholic School (ASCS) is currently accepting Preschool Aide Position Applications for the 2026-27 school year. Hours would be 7:00 am -2:30 pm, Monday through Thursday during the school year.

ASCS is a PK through 8th grade school offering exceptional faith based educational experiences and school programs for students.
Position Summary:
All Saints Catholic School is in search of a caring, responsible, patient, and kind individual to collaborate with other teachers in our early childhood education program. The ideal candidate must be willing to commit to our mission and culture. The candidate must provide Christ-centered education, in a respectful and inspiring way. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other teachers and be under the guidance of our Preschool Program Director and School Principal. In addition, Professional Development and other school driven events/meetings as directed by the school administrator.
Qualifications:
- Completion of required Michigan Child Care Background Check Consent and Disclosure with favorable results.
- Complete State Live Scan Fingerprinting prior to hire.
- Provide a negative TB test result prior to hire.
- Complete Virtus Training prior to start date.
- Maintain 100% safe accountability for each child in class and only release students to legal parents and guardians.
- Be able to and execute a learning curriculum and lesson plans that will cognitively engage all students.
- Hold or be able to obtain a CPR and First Aid Certification prior to start.
- If hired, candidate will be required to complete continued annual training in Early Childhood Care & Education.
Other Job Duties include:
- Take initiative to help create a calm, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
- Support children in their social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual growth.
- Assist children as they discover literacy and math skills and encourage learning to help them feel successful in their school experience.
- Be responsible for developing, positive, open lines of communication with families and school staff.
- Implement lead preschool teachers lesson plans and assist teacher in classroom activities.
- Build trusting relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Be able to work outside during all seasons in Alpena, MI.
- Supervise staff and volunteers in the classroom.
- Respect the confidentiality of ASCS families and staff.
- Attend continuing education training to complete required hours.
- Be responsible for basic bodily care tasks for young children.
- Organize program activities and field trips.
- Be able to keep accurate daily records for each child in their care.
- Cleaning classrooms throughout the day (wiping down surfaces, cleaning toys, sweeping, and vacuuming when needed).
- Teach students through singing, playing, talking, and reading throughout the day.
- Manage appropriate play, rest, and classroom activities for all preschool children under their care.
- Be able to assess children’s growth and development.
- Other tasks assigned as needed.
