Early Education Float Teacher - Rapid Progression

We are seeking a person who is excited about working with 3–6-year-old children in a farm environment where much of the curriculum is derived from outdoor exploration, a teacher who believes in an emphasis on social emotional learning while also preparing our learners with the necessary skills to succeed at their next school.

 

Apple Orchard School is located on Allandale Farm in Brookline. We are committed to nature-based learning through play and an emergent curriculum. We are an outdoor program that spends extended periods of time in all seasons, exploring and discovering in nature. Our focus is on developing young children through authentic experiences with our barn animals and in nature. The position is for a full-time float teacher to start September 3, 2024. The hours are 7:45 – 4:15 four days a week and 7:45-1:30 the fifth day.

We believe that harmful stereotypes are learned at this age and work to ensure that children are accepting of difference and inclusive of others. Our focus enables children to be kind and contributing members of their communities beyond Apple Orchard.

 

Depending on experience and degrees, this position would pay 36 – 40k.
