Job Description - Early Intervention Program Director

Early Intervention Program Director

Full-Time | Leadership Role

About Us

Tri-County Early Intervention is a newly established sister company of Tri-County Therapy, a well-respected pediatric therapy provider serving children and families across SC.

As we expand our services to include Early Intervention (BabyNet/IDEA Part C), we are seeking a strong, motivated leader to help develop and grow this program from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to step into an integral role within a growing organization and directly shape the systems, culture, and long-term success of a new Early Intervention division. This position is expected to begin late Spring, 2026.

Position Summary

The Early Intervention Program Director will provide leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for Tri-County Early Intervention’s BabyNet program. This role blends program development, staff supervision, compliance oversight, and billing management with limited direct service participation as needed.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a growing environment, enjoys building systems, and is comfortable balancing leadership with hands-on involvement.

This is not a maintenance role — this is a build-and-lead role.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Develop the Program

  • Build and implement systems, workflows, and operational processes

  • Establish program structure, expectations, and accountability standards

  • Collaborate with ownership on growth strategy and expansion planning

  • Identify operational gaps and implement solutions

Supervise & Support Staff

  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor Early Interventionists and Case Managers

  • Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance oversight

  • Foster a collaborative, mission-driven team culture

  • Support professional development and credentialing requirements

Ensure Compliance & Quality

  • Oversee adherence to BabyNet (IDEA Part C) and Medicaid regulations

  • Monitor documentation quality and timeliness

  • Track required trainings (annual hours, certifications)

  • Support audit readiness and state monitoring processes

Oversee Billing & Operations

  • Monitor Medicaid/BabyNet billing accuracy and timeliness

  • Review productivity and service trends

  • Support staff with documentation and billing requirements

  • Assist with reporting and operational reviews

Maintain Limited Caseload (as needed)

  • Participate in service coordination or EI services to support program needs

    • As caseloads build, this role would involve a growing caseload that would be passed to future Eis.

  • Ensure services align with IFSP outcomes and family-centered best practices

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience in Early Intervention (IDEA Part C/BabyNet) required

  • Experience supervising EIs and Case Managers required

  • Strong understanding of IFSP processes, service coordination, and compliance

  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Early Intervention billing requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Eligible for BabyNet credentialing in South Carolina

What We’re Looking For:

  • A leader who takes initiative and works independently

  • Someone who sees growth opportunities, not obstacles

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a developing program

  • A collaborative professional who can build both systems and relationships

Benefits We Offer:

Health & Dental Insurance with employer contributions

401(k) Retirement Plan- up to 4% match after 1 year

Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays

Continuing Education Reimbursement

Short Term-Disability Insurance Options

Life & Vision Insurance Options

IT Equipment & Materials

Compensation:

Range of $70,000-$85,000 + Bonus opportunities

Why Join Tri-County Early Intervention?
