E-commerce Laborer

This position requires the “laborer” to fulfil the duties needed in the e-Commerce department. These duties include plant identification, sorting orders, picking orders, fulfilling orders, as well as processing shipments. General computer knowledge is important for this position. “Laborers” must be able to enter in customer information correctly in the system and ensure all data matches. The job requires you to process orders for multiple accounts daily.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Package plants for shipments
• General warehouse work such as off-loading delivery trucks, organizing, stacking and inventory products
• Packaging/Loading orders for shipment.
• Printing packing slips
• Building of boxes
• Keeping work area clean and functional

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education and Experience: High School, GED.

Licenses and/or Certificates: Valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of rules, regulations, and proper implementation practices of guidelines from Federal or State Department of Agriculture.
Ability to make decisions recognizing established precedents and practices and to use resourcefulness and tact in solving new problems.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to follow directions and ability to work with little to no supervision.
Good computer skills required.
An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), Google Drive, and Internet Browser (Google Chrome/Internet Explorer).
Proper Grammar and Spelling abilities for entering customer information correctly

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Working Conditions: Both indoor and outside work environments. Sometimes exposed to extreme cold and hot temperatures, wet or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions. Warehouse operations can be subject to high levels of dust.

Risk/Safety Conditions: Moving mechanical parts and machinery, airborne particles, high temperatures, sharp objects.

Essential Physical Activities: Walking, sitting, hearing, seeing up close, seeing far away, talking, standing, standing for extended periods of time. finger movement, repetitive motions, depth perception, regularly lift 40 pounds, occasionally lift 60 pounds, climbing, crawling, stooping, crouching and wearing a respirator.
