Job Description - E-Commerce Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY

The E-commerce Manager oversees all aspects of online sales, including website operations, order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer experience. They develop and execute strategies to drive traffic, optimize conversion rates, and enhance online revenue. This role involves managing digital marketing efforts, analyzing sales performance, and ensuring seamless coordination between fulfillment, customer service, and marketing teams. Strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and expertise in e-commerce platforms are key to success in this position.

ESSENTIAL TASKS

Manage Online Store Operations – Oversee product listings, pricing, promotions, and website functionality to ensure a seamless shopping experience. 

Optimize Sales & Conversion Rates – Implement strategies to improve traffic, user experience, and checkout efficiency. 

Oversee Order Fulfillment & Logistics – Ensure timely order processing, shipping, and inventory accuracy. 

Develop & Execute Digital Marketing Campaigns – Manage SEO, paid ads, email marketing, and social media strategies to drive sales. 

Monitor Analytics & Performance Metrics – Track sales trends, customer behavior, and campaign effectiveness using tools like Google Analytics and Shopify reports. 

Coordinate with Internal Teams – Work with fulfillment, customer service, and marketing to align e-commerce strategies. 

Manage Inventory & Supply Chain – Forecast demand, prevent stockouts or overstocking, and coordinate with vendors. 

Enhance Customer Experience – Improve website usability, manage customer inquiries, and implement retention strategies. 

Troubleshoot Technical Issues – Address website errors, integration problems, and system bugs with IT support or developers. 

Identify Growth Opportunities – Research market trends, competitor strategies, and new sales channels to expand online presence.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: 

  • E-Commerce Operations (3+ years preferred) – Hands-on experience managing online sales, order fulfillment, and digital storefronts (Shopify, eBay, Amazon, etc.). 
  • Digital Marketing & SEO – Experience with paid ads (Google, Facebook, Instagram), email marketing, and SEO strategies to drive traffic and conversions. 
  • Data Analysis & Performance Tracking – Familiarity with Google Analytics, Shopify reports, and other tools to track KPIs and optimize sales performance. 
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management – Understanding of stock management, vendor coordination, and order processing to ensure seamless fulfillment. 
  • Customer Experience & UX – Experience improving website usability, conversion rates, and customer service processes. 
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration – Experience leading or working closely with marketing, customer service, and fulfillment teams. 
  • Technical Proficiency – Comfort with e-commerce integrations, automation tools, and troubleshooting technical issues.

Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.

Physical Demands: This position requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending and stooping for long periods. The employee is required to handle, feel and/or reach with hands and arms and must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance. Must have stamina to perform manual duties that often require strength.                                                                         

Working Conditions: E-Comm warehouse operational spaces. Ability to work in different weather conditions and non-air conditioned areas is required. Must have ability to work a flexible schedule.
