Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Position

Location: Lawrence, MA

Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $2,938/week

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join a hospital in Lawrence, MA, on a travel contract. The ED RN will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients with urgent and emergent medical needs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, quick-thinking, and dedicated to delivering patient-centered emergency care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department, assessing and prioritizing patient needs.


• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions safely and accurately.


• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated, timely care.


• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, intervening rapidly when necessary.


• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs.


• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license in Massachusetts (or compact license).


• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).


• Minimum of 1 year of recent ED nursing experience (travel experience preferred).


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.


• COVID vaccine and recent TB test.


• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.


• Ability to perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced emergency settings.
