The Education & Talent Coordinator serves as a project coordinator for assigned programs and events. The role supports the planning and execution of education and Talent programming and activities to deliver compelling, relevant value to members. Responsibilities include assisting in the planning and execution of programs and events, providing administrative and programmatic support for the Education and Talent team. The Education and Talent Coordinator reports directly to the Director, Education & Talent, works as part of a team of Education and Program Managers, and collaborates across departments, including Events, Sales and Marketing teams, among others, as well as contractors and vendors, to coordinate the planning and execution of assigned education programs and activities at IFPA events(virtual and in-person), talent programs, and other duties as assigned.
Position Responsibilities
Education and Program Planning (70%)
Responsible for the coordination of various elements of general education for IFPA Signature Events and Programs(virtual and in-person), Online Learning, and Talent Portfolio programs
This includes coordinating:
Activities and timelines for IFPA Signature Events and Talent programs
Contract and vendor/speaker management
Event and program audio/visual needs,
Assisting with food and beverage,
Hotel accommodations and meeting rooms,
Third party contractors,
And other duties, as assigned.
Solicits, analyzes bids, and provides supervision for education and talent program registrants, speakers, contractors and temporary personnel for all aspects and stages of program logistics and planning.
Coordinates event and program activities, such as marketing, sponsorship fulfillment, event details and logistics, with collaborating IFPA departments, among them Marketing, Sales, Events, and more for assigned events/programs.
Maintains and coordinates information on the IFPA website, Learning Management System, and specific education and talent webpages, including event and program schedules, speaker bios and photos, and other information and resources as needed.
Collaborates with Finance, IT and Member Services on Education and Talent portfolio program registration execution.
Audits and codes vendor invoices from all assigned events and programs.
Education and Program Execution (25%)
Assists Education and Talent Program Managers in the execution and evaluation of general education for IFPA Events and Programs (virtual and in-person), Online Learning, and Talent Portfolio programs This includes coordinating:
Contractor, vendor, and speaker management,
Event and program audio/visual,
Hotel accommodations and meeting rooms,
Third party contractors,
And other duties, as assigned.
Accountable for interacting with and coordinating IFPA Member, guest speaker and volunteer activities and participation in IFPA events and programs, representing IFPA and event brand at high standard of customer service and event and program execution.
Assists with the analysis and evaluation of all education and Talent program KPI’s and metrics for events/programs.
Professional Development (5%)
Attend professional meetings, workshops, and seminars to expand personal and business competencies, as appropriate.
Actively participate in Association staff meetings, committees and purpose-driven task forces, as needed.
Be informed and up to date on research concerning industry trends, members’ needs and interests, and topics relevant to role and responsibility and actively apply that knowledge in day-to-day work.
Miscellaneous Position Information
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
1 year experience in program and event, education, and/or training planning.
Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom, and Teams.
Must be able to work independently, as well as, in a team setting, be flexible and meet deadlines.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
Must have strong analytical skills.

Proven competence in project management, implementation, and evaluation.
Deliver relevant value to members: meet or exceed metrics/KPI’s set.
Provide logistical and administration support to Education and Talent team.
Travel
Business related travel required a minimum of 5 times per year.
